The four-formula band is 69.6 to 75.0 kg. Sorted values are 69.6, 71.0, 73.0, and 75.0, so the median is 72.0 kg. The arithmetic mean is about 72.2 kg and the spread is 5.4 kg. Report the band and spread before the mean; the mean describes these equations but does not validate them.
Connect Weight to BMI Without Hiding the Algebra
Exact BMI arithmetic rearranges BMI = weight / height squared into weight = BMI x height squared. At 1.778 m and BMI 22, the weight is about 69.5 kg. CDC's adult healthy-weight screening interval uses BMI 18.5 to less than 25, which converts to about 58.5 kg up to, but not including, 79.0 kg at that height.
